Description

DROPS Alpaca Bouclé is a beautiful, soft yarn made from Peruvian llama wool. The alpaca wool is not treated in any way - it does not undergo any form of chemical treatment before dyeing, just a normal wash. This enhances the natural properties of the fiber and also gives it a better shape and structure.

“Bouclé” is French for “curls” and refers to the many tiny loops of pure alpaca that make up each ball. The center strand is a blend of wool and nylon, which gives the yarn its strength. DROPS Alpaca Bouclé is a 2-ply yarn, and the combination of alpaca and a looped look creates an exceptionally soft, versatile yarn. It is wonderfully light and fluffy.

In the color chart of this yarn you will find several mixed colors (mix) - these are created by combining two or more colored fibers during carding, and are then spun as one fiber with a typical multi-colored "mixed" effect.
