Description

DROPS Fabel is a durable 4-ply sock yarn made from fine quality wool and polyamide. Due to its composition, it is strong, dimensionally stable, and suitable not only for socks but also for light sweaters, scarves, hats, children's models, and baby clothes.

Unlike some classic sock yarns, DROPS Fabel is spun from fine wool, making it softer to the touch and more versatile for various types of projects. The yarn is beautifully rounded, easy to work with, and the finished knitwear has an even appearance.

The yarn is available in a wide range of colors and offers three types of color variations:
UNI COLOUR – solid colors
PRINT – regularly repeating color sections
LONG PRINT – longer color transitions

The PRINT and LONG PRINT variants are self-patterning, creating interesting color effects during knitting. Each dye lot is unique and may vary slightly in color intensity and pattern progression. These differences are not defects but a natural characteristic of printed yarns.

With self-patterning shades, the resulting effect may vary depending on the number of stitches and the width of the knitted piece. The patterning will appear differently on socks or smaller projects compared to wider pieces, such as sweaters or scarves. Color deviations may also occur within the same dye lot.

DROPS Fabel has a Superwash treatment, making it practical for everyday wear and machine washable on a gentle cycle at 40°C. Do not use fabric softener and dry the finished product flat.

This yarn has obtained the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, Class I certificate, number 25.3.0099, issued by the testing institute INNOVATEXT Textile Engineering and Testing, Hungary. This means it has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for humans and nature. Class I is the highest level of certification, making the yarn also suitable for babies and young children aged 0-3 years.
