Description

DROPS Cotton Merino is a blend of the highest quality merino wool combined with soft, fine long-staple cotton. We decided not to combine the merino with the cotton during the carding process, but to process the two materials separately first. This allows the unique properties of the yarn to be used to their full potential. The subsequent dyeing is more demanding, but the result is a brighter colour and a more pronounced fibre structure. DROPS Cotton Merino has a Superwash treatment and is very gentle on the skin, making it a great choice for baby and children's clothing. Like our other merino yarns, this one is made from free-range, mules-free South American wool.

DROPS Cotton Merino is spun from multiple strands, resulting in a round and full yarn that is also exceptionally elastic. The round yarn draws beautiful meshes - making it stand out nicely in plastic, pearl or cable patterns.

Due to the special construction of the yarn, it is very important to handle the knitwear correctly - both when knitting and during subsequent maintenance and washing: it is advisable to knit more tightly, preferably on weaker needles than you are used to, and to pay attention to the information given in the test sample. Never wash products made from this yarn in too hot water, do not leave them soaked in the bath for a long time and do not use fabric softener. Always dry slowly (not on a heater) and spread out loosely.

This yarn has been certified by Oeko-Tex® (number 25.3.0016), Standard 100, Class I, issued by the testing institute INNOVATEXT TEXTILE ENGINEERING AND TESTING, HUNGARY. This means that it has been tested for the presence of irritants and has been found safe for humans and nature. Class I is the highest level, which is why this yarn is also suitable for babies and young children (aged 0-3 years).
